Eighteen Twenty Wines released their first batch of rhubarb wine yesterday. The East Bayside business delivered the first few bottles to Hannigan’s Island Market on Peaks Island.

Hannigan’s is on Peaks
I had an Aunt up on the Castine region of Penobscot Bay that made both rhubarb and blackberry wine. This has to a lot better than those were as either of one was strong enough to make it feel like your teeth were dissolving. This state’s come a long way since those days some forty years ago when no one thought of making commercial wines.
