A few under construction updates:
- Bresca and the Honey Bee, Krista Kern Desjarlais’s snack shack in New Gloucester, has passed inspection and is scheduled to open on Saturday with a limited menu.
- A sign at 865 Forest Ave, the former home of Venue, indicates that a new Mexican restaurant is slated for that space.
- Black Cat Coffee has selected Matt’s Wood Roasted Coffee for their new shop on Stevens Ave.
Great news about Matt’s coffee being there.
The 3 months of “Closed for renovations” is finally over for the exchange street cafe as there is now a for lease sign in the window.
Not that it’s anything that excites me but I heard that Jimmy the Greek is looking to open a downtown location. Wonder if the new hotel on Commercial would be a good location as it’s restaurant space is almost identical to the Sebago Brewing company across town.
10 Exchance Street was going to be run (again) directly by Joe Soley but street gossip has that he lost interested in doing so.
The waffle folks were out during the OPF but served nothing because of a power snafu; the B. Good folk were giving away coupons for a free hamburger and said they hoped to open by mid August.
I also heard that busby is doing an expose story on Harding including interviews with former employees for the bollard.
