This week’s Portland Phoenix features the newspaper’s list of Portland’s most influential people. There’s an entire section devoted to Food and Drink, with a profile of Jay Villani from Local 188/Sonny’s. Members of the Portland food community are also scattered throughout the remainder of the article in the sections for Activism, Business, Letters and Up-and-Comers.

Chiang Mai is closed and the Cold Stone Creamery location on middle street /exchange st is under contract. Wonder if it will be a food place.
I heard that Chiang Mai is moving to Washington Ave, presumably to the former Loco Pollo location. I’ll be surprised if the new occupant of the former Cold Stone space isn’t a food business.
the man is too modest to mention that he was listed as one of portland’s most influential people! congrats!
