Monday—Maine Ambassadors of Food and Drink are running the weekly Foodie Trivia Contest at Bull Feeney’s.
Tuesday—there will be a wine tasting at Browne Trading.
Wednesday—pick-up for the Winter Farmers’ Market is taking place in Monument Square.
Thursday—New Year’s Eve dinners are taking place at Bar Lola, Cinque Terre, Eastland Park Hotel, Emilitsa, Evangeline, Five Fifty-Five, Frog and Turtle, Grace, Inn by the Sea, Shima, The Salt Exchange, Twenty Milk Street, Vignola.
Friday—First Friday Art Walk is taking place and there will be a wine tasting at the West End Deli.

Was taking a peek at the city council page and saw something not mentioned yet even though it’s a week or so old. I think anybody who scrolled by it thought it was the application for Walter’s. Anyway, looks like with approval they are opening a tapas bar called Gingko Blue on the other side of the new building they are it.

Nick, I was confused by this too. It initially looked like it was just a license for the Walter’s bar but after reading your comment I took a second look at the floor plan it has to be an additional space to the left of the new Walter’s. Thanks for catching this.
Yeah, the for lease sign for that space came down a month ago or so. In the back of my head I actually thought that maybe the Walter’s owners should open a bar there and well there it is. Too bad they couldn’t connect the spaces, I don’t think they can unless it’s in back. They can at least use it for overflow from the restaurant.
