Popups & Supperpie
The Bangor Daily News has published an article about Supperpie and other popup events taking place in Maine.
Food served in a new and often secret location by chefs who bring their “A” game is the dining trend of the moment. In Portland and across the state, more underground dinners are popping up this summer than ever.
At the helm last Thursday was Rocco Salvatore Talarico, a traveling chef who has cooked his way from San Francisco to South Portland and is working on a cookbook centered on his creative, international culinary style.
The next installment of Supperpie is scheduled to take place on August 8.
Photos of Supperpie
David Zwickerhill has posted a set of photos from last week’s inaugural edition of Supperpie.
The next Supperpie meal is taking place on August 8 and tickets are now on sale.

10 Years at 555
In his latest post The Golden Dish takes a walk down Portland’s restaurant memory lane and describes Five Fifty-Five’s recent 10-year anniversary dinner.
The rest, of course, is history and last Friday the restaurant celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a special 10-course dinner to commemorate the event. I’d like to chronicle the dinner here rather than offer a typical critique and to look back at some of our old stars and current tastemakers.
