Congratulations to the nine Maine food producers that are finalists in the 2021 Good Food Awards in these six categories:
- Beer – Allagash Brewing for their Fine Acre beer, and Maine Beer Company for their Prince Percy Pilsner and Wolfe’s Neck IPA beers
- Cheese – Crooked Face Creamery for their Pressed Herb Ricotta and Whole Milk Ricotta
- Confections – Ragged Coast Chocolates for their Cassis de Résistance Truffle
- Fish –Atlantic Sea Farms for their Fermented Seaweed Salad and Sea-Beet Kraut, Maine Coast Sea Vegetables for their Ginger Kelp Krunch Bars and Original Kelp Krunch Bars, and Ocean’s Balance for their Kelp Puree
- Grains – Maine Grains for their Pearled Black Barley and Marfax Crop Rotation Dry Beans
- Preserves – Turtle Rock Farm for their Apple Rose preserve
This year’s finalists were “[s]elected from 1,928 entries to the 11th annual Good Food Awards, these 475 products represent 45 states plus D.C. and Guam and have passed vetting for category-specific sustainability standards.”
The winners will be announced at a virtual event on January 22nd.
