Oak & Ember has closed. Owner Shannon Keefe posted an announcement on instagram that reads,
Well… we tried. It’s with the heaviest of hearts we announce our closure. Thank you for almost two years of incredible memories. We are incredibly proud of what we brought to our small corner of Maine, and want to express our deepest gratitude for every person who showed up and supported us. We love you.
Keefe launched Oak & Ember in September 2023. The restaurant brought an elevated farm to table menu to Buxton serving dishes like Grilled Iberian Pork and Fluke Crudo along with cocktails and a well selected wine list.
