February 28 – Maine Restaurant Week’s Incredible Breakfast Cook-off is taking place.
March 1-12 – Maine Restaurant Week is taking place.
March 2 – Judy Gibson is holding a 5-course beer dinner in collaboration with Fore River Brewing.
March 5 – Maine Restaurant Week’s Spirit Quest is taking place and Batson River is kicking off the first of 4 weekly cocktail classes.
March 7 – Sommelier Justin St. Louis at Old Port Sea Grill will be leading a food and wine pairing workshop, and Lenora will be launching their lunch/dinner service.
March 9 – the New England Craft Brew Summit is taking place, Fire & Co anAustin Street are collaborating on a Polenta Board Dinner, and Great Wave Sushi is holding a pop-up at Amigo’s.
March 9-12 – Bites & Brews is taking place at the Carnaval Maine event.
March 10 – it’s the first day of the Rose Foods guest chef bagel sandwich series. Participating restaurants include Mr. Tuna, Quiero, Regards, Onggi, Taj, Duckfat, Indy’s and Fish & Whistle.
March 11 – Arabica Coffee is hosting a tea tasting workshop led by the Aera Tea Company.
March 12 – Two events are taking place at Coffee by Design: a coffee cupping with Juan Carlos Arango, owner of Arango Specialty Coffee, and the release of gin barrel-aged Alice Greele coffee.
March 13 – the Greeks of Peaks food truck is holding a pop-up at Hunt & Alpine.
March 17 – the final Flanagan Farm Supper Club (tickets) is taking place in Buxton. The cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and multi-course dinner at being produced by Big Tree, the parent company of Eventide and The Honey Paw restaurants.
March 18 – Chris Toy is teaching a virtual cooking class to benefit the Oasis Free Clinic in Brunswick.
March 29 – the James Beard Foundation will release the list of nominees for this year’s awards. There are 11 semifinalists from Maine under consideration.
April 3 – Scratch Baking is teaching a bagel baking class.
April 21 – The Good Food Awards will take place, there are 12 finalists from Maine in the running this year.
May 20 – Maine Wild Wine Fest is taking place in Freeport.
June 12-18 – Portland Wine Week is taking place with events at restaurants all over the Portland area.
