Dana Street and Sam Hayward have submitted a liquor license application for their new restaurant, Scales. The draft menu (page 61) includes classic New England seafood dish such as Clam Chowder, Finnan Hadie and Baked Stuffed Lobster. Scales is located on Maine Wharf. When it opens later this year it will serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
I really enjoyed Scales when it was in the public market. But this seems so weird it being right next to Boone’s. Regardless, I’m looking forward to see what happens with this. However, without additional parking its gonna be tough. For me at least.
I’m actually surprised that more seafood places aren’t near one another, considering it’s a coastal town.
Unlike the original Scales, the future Scales is more a surf and turf undertaking. And alas the lovely cones from the original Scales are not put of this one. I had many of those cones and loved everyone of them!
Any news on opening date??
