WhaddaPita opened for business on Sunday.
They’re located in the space on Forest Avenue formerly occupied by Chef et al. It looks like they’ve got some outdoor seating out front.

What is it, a falafel shop?
I haven’t seen the menu yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was falafel on the menu, but given the name I think they probably serve a wider variety of pita-based sandwiches.
According to an article in the July 28 issue of the Portland Daily Sun, WhaddaPita serves, “baklava, feta cheese pie, hummus dip, beef, pork, zucchini fritters, and a host of other platters and sandwiches”
They’re a greek/gyro place, no falafel
Just had dinner there. Really liked it. The Eggplant Pita was GREAT! Very fun atmosphere. Only con was limited parking.
